LR02 - 1967 Land Rover Series IIa 88” - ‘Rocket’

This 1967 Series IIa was found in a shed in the suburbs surrounding Sydney Airport.

‘Rocket’, as this Land Rover has come to be affectionately known, has a story that is quite familiar to most people who deal with old Land Rovers. This 1967 Series IIa was a father/son project that never eventuated, jumping around the owners family and friends properties, ending up on a relatives farm and then a shed on a property in Sydney. When the property went up for sale, the car needed to go. It found it’s way to the artefact workshop and the mechanical overhaul and the ‘recommissioning’ ensued.

Focusing on retaining the ever elusive ‘patina’ that only a life of hard work can accumulate, the car has been brought up to scratch with a full overhaul of all the necessary components to make the car safe and reliable.
